PISTON TYPE CHECK VALVE
Flovel manufactures Piston Type Check Valves according to API 602/ ISO 15761 / ASME B16.34. The unique full opening design is best suited to dampen the piston’s response to sudden or rapid changes in flow, negating the chances of pressure drop across the valve.
Flovel Manufactures Piston Check Valves in sizes of ½” to 2” with Pressure classes of 800, 1500 and 2500.
A Piston Check valve is similar to a lift check valve as it has a dash pot that consists of a piston and cylinder which provides a cushioning effect during the operation.
Because of the similarity in design to lift check valves, the flow characteristics through a piston check valve are essentially the same as through a lift check valve.
